I have worked in the Film industry for 30 years, in that time I have had the privilege to work with and learn from some brilliant and visionary filmmakers.
I consider myself very lucky to have been involved in development on a number of projects during my career. Those particular productions have embraced the contribution a Production Designer can make in evolving character and narrative space early on in the creative process.
I love working collaboratively across all the disciplines. The creative process is at its best when teams and creative leads communicate and support each other to develop and push ideas. It also makes things surprisingly efficient too!
Whether the film has been low budget/independent or attached to a bigger studio, my experience has been a huge journey which I look forward to continuing in production design both in live action and in animation.
