Snow in Paradise

I co-designed this with the Set Decorator Sophia Chowdhury. We felt the project lent itself to us working closely together and using our previous collective experience. The film was shot in 20 days in and around Hackney and made for 500k in 2013.

We were delighted to learn that the film was selected for Cannes a year later in Un Certain Regard.

At the outset this film was intended to be naturalistic, therefore the locations were very much art of the Production Design. Our intention was to create many layers in each character's environment, sourcing the right place to begin with was very key in inspiring the final design.
