In July 2017, I was fortunate enough to join DP Michael Wood for a second time, meeting writer/director Emily Harris for the first time.

 

We had a very short prep on location in East Sussex, shooting for 4 weeks. This was a very enjoyable and creative union which made the low budget we were working with all the more possible! The story is based on a novella, considered to be the precursor to Bram Stoker's Dracula. 

 

Set in 1780, our story charts a series of events for a teenage girl living remotely with her father and governess at the foot of the South Downs. A stranger arrives in strange circumstances, awakening Lara to new possibilities, yet dramatic consequences.
